
Duaa Qishta
Duaa Qishta was born in 1991 in Saudi Arabia and raised in Gaza. A Palestinian visual artist, her works have a human dimension, highlighting wars and the different crises they produce. She denounces the conditions that Palestinians live in occupied Palestine. She uses different materials and techniques, such as paintings, drawings, sculptures, installation, photography and video.
Qishta has been self-taught in art since 2015, She has participated in numerous group exhibitions, She produced her first solo exhibition “Al-Awda Ice Cream” in 2019 with the support of the A.M. Qattan Foundation in Palestine.
She obtained an art residency at la Cité internationale des arts in Paris, France in 2019 - 2020. She obtained in 2021-2023 an art residency with the Collège de France "Pause program" at ESAM l'école in Cherbourg and ESAD l'école in Valence and Grenoble, France. In 2022-2023, she obtained a National Diploma of Plastic Expression at the European Higher School of Art of Brittany in Lorient, France
